Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHEE)

Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education is an important part of the curriculum for all students. There is a structured programme of personal and social development, encouraging healthy approaches to life, taught during Tutor time. This includes an element of sex education from which parents are entitled to withdraw their son/daughter.  A copy of the school’s Sex Education Policy is available inside the back cover of this booklet.

The School Nurse is available for confidential advice to students and this may sometimes involve personal issues of sexual health.

The course includes all recommended programmes and statutory elements.  The actual content is continuously changing to include current issues, with all modules evaluated by both students and tutors.
